Meatballs:
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/4 cup)
1 large egg
Heat oven to 400F. Mix all ingredients. Shape mixture into meatballs (size of your choice). Place in ungreased rectangular pan or on the rack in broiler pan. Bake uncovered for 15-25 minutes, depending on size and until no longer pink.
Sweet & Sour Sauce
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple in juice, drained and juice reserved
1/3 c. white vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/3 c. finely chopped green bell pepper
Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan. Add enough water to reserved pineapple juice to measure 1/2 cup; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minutes. Stir in pineapple and bell pepper. Use cause immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 1 year.
