Cousin's Corn Bread

This cornbread is so yummy!  We are so excited to eat these again.  This recipe comes from The Essential Mormon Cookbook by Julie Badger Jensen.

1/2 c. butter, room temperature
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2-3/4 c. milk

Cream butter, sugar and eggs.  In a separate bowl blend cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.  Combine creamed mixture, dry mixture and milk.  Blend.  Bake in a greased 8"x8" pan at 375F for 35-40 minutes.
