Flour Tortillas

I have really enjoyed making my own tortillas but I don't like the thick tortillas.  I am proud to say that I have found a recipe for thin tortillas that are good.  I could have used more salt in the dough but other than that, they were great!  I got this recipe from an article on the internet, click HERE for the article.

2 c. bread flour (I used regular flour)
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. + 1 tsp. shortening
3/4 c. warm water

Combine flour and salt.  Cut in the shortening.  Slowing add the water just until a ball forms.  Knead dough for 2-3 minutes.  Let rest for 15 minutes.  Divide dough into 6-8 small balls and let rest for 45-60 minutes.  Roll each ball out to a very thin circle.  Cook in a hot dry or buttered skillet for 10-20 seconds per side.  Once cooked place on a napkin lined plate and cover with aluminum foil.  Enjoy!
