Dustin & I needed to make some truffles but it had been so long since I made them I needed to look up the recipe. I couldn't believe that all these years I have neglected to post this marvelous creation! These are delicious little oreo morsels that melt in your mouth.
1 pkg. oreos
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 pkg. white chocolate or almond bark
In a food processor grind the oreos (it really is better when ground with a food processor!). Mix the softened cream cheese with the oreo crumbs. Roll into 1" balls and refrigerate for 1 hour. Melt chocolate or bark and coat refrigerated truffles. Once all are covered return to the refrigerator for another hour or so. You can get fancy and drizzle another chocolate over the top of these truffles or you can sprinkle them with some cookie crumbs but really just eating them this way is perfectly fine!
*You can use any sandwich cookie really. Nutter Butters make for very good peanut butter balls, the best peanut butter balls (cookie form) that I have ever had really.
